As previously announced, iUHBA has entered an agreement/MoU with Ontario County, New York, for a massive wireless- and FTTH/O pilot early next year, which will cost approximately $100M and be funded through Lachman & Malik Capital Partners, LLC. Prior to the pilots, we plan to create a Proof of Working Concept (PoWC) that will be organized in a campus environment in Ontario County. The PoWC project will cost €2.5M ($3.35M); it will be paid by a group of investors through mUHBA Nederland Holding B.V., which is a FiberBroadband licensee of iUHBA Networks, Inc. in the Netherlands. The PoWC will be conducted over a two-month period, most likely in January and february 2010.
Some PoWC specs:
• Wireless Network Technology: 802.11N
• Number of Access Nodes: Minimum 125 – Maximum 200
• Wireless Test Purpose: Testing data transfer, mobile voice (over Wi-Fi), and video communication capabilities in various wireless design configurations – at 100 Mbps per wireless user.
• Test users: approximately 500 users
• Demographic: Students, teachers, college staff, business people
• Testing devices: Appr. 250 laptop users with special 802.11N USB modem, and appr. 250 users with 802.11N capable smartphones (designed/modified by iUHBA engineers).
• Environment: College campus environment, surrounding businesses (indoor and outdoor).
The primary purpose of the PoWC is to create a strong Intellectual Property portfolio. We will utilize the wireless network design and rollout as per our FiberBroadband Strategy. We will also use certain access point and device engineering data to file for patents. Furthermore, a team will do site surveys and preparational work for the Wireless and FTTH/O pilot which will follow after the PowC. The PoWC analysis (IP) will be property of mUHBA Netherlands Holding B.V. and transferred to iUHBA Networks, Inc. at pre-agreed terms of payments in cash and equity.
